Cost of Living Nightmare & Cave of Dreams
Hey Canmore! Here's What’s Happening This Week!
Big news to kick things off - Canmore is now officially the most expensive place to live in Alberta, with housing costs nearly triple those in Edmonton. If you're feeling the squeeze, you're not imagining it.
But even as the numbers rise, there's plenty of magic in the mountains. The much-anticipated Cave of Dreams has premiered - an immersive art experience inside a real limestone cave, combining puppetry, choral music, and storytelling. It's something truly unique.
And over in Jasper, the town is finding its feet again after last year’s devastating wildfire. Eleven new homes are being built, and the first occupancy permits have already been issued. Rebuilding is in full swing.
From local art grants to weekend music and community events, there’s a lot more to explore. Dive into the complete guide below and get the most out of your week in Canmore.
